Virtual Reality Based Surgery Simulation

Brief Introduction:

 

I develop a VR based general laparoscopic surgery simulation platform which can be used for learning and improving minimally invasive surgical (MIS) skills, from basic to advanced laparoscopic procedures. It supports easily quick deployment and efficient building of surgery training scene 

 

Main Features:

  • Real-time GPU based physics simulation engine. 

    • GPU and biomechanics based soft tissue simulation.

    • GPU based rigid body and soft body collision detection system.

  • Physically based rendering engine. 

    • multi-layer soft tissue rendering pipeline.

    • Complete post-processing pipeline. (screen space, lens, lighting, skin effects)

  • Virtual reality based visualization engine 

    • support HTC Vive, Oculus, Asus 3D Monitor

  • Haptic interaction system.
